never mind found it, but the placement for download is not as described in this video, when cancelled out of lapse was option to DL but didn't work until found it in different area

I had the same issue. I could set the time lapse to record but could not find the videos afterwards. I had to make sure I was on the same network as my Wyze Cam.

Oh no!!! Shirley, we are so, so sorry that we missed your comment until now. Have you been able to download your time lapse video since you wrote in? It is possible that your phone is connected to the 5GHz band instead of the 2.4GHz network that your Wyze Cam is set up on. They need to both be on the 2.4GHz one for the video to be transferred from your microSD card to your phone. If that doesn't work, you can read a microSD card on a computer to retrieve the file.

Hi, Tomas! At this point, there is not an option to get the photos separate from the time lapse. I'll add your request to our tracker. :) 32GB is the largest microSD card that we support and time lapse videos can take up to 4GB. You could set the duration to be close to a month but you'd need very long intervals to compensate and avoid taking up more than 4GB.

@Todd Williams, there currently is no way to stitch Playback into a Timelapse. It's been discussed, but we don't have concrete plans for this right now.

@Wyze still nothing yet? a year later. to me, playback is almost useless without a timelapse feature

Yes, the secondary user can receive notifications even if you don't have a WiFi connection. Though your Wyze Cam will still need to be connected to its network for that to work! :)

Wyze Great! I can trust Amazon :) Also, I shared my WyzeCam pan with another user which makes me the primary user. Could the secondary user receive motion video notifications even if the primary user is not connected to a wi-fi network at the moment?

Aww... Well, we're honored to be your first! And we firmly believe that you shouldn't bring tech into your home if you don't feel comfortable with it. We're more than happy to answer your questions. :) The cloud is owned by Amazon. We use the AWS Cloud. The reason the app asks for that access is so that it can store your manually recorded videos and photos as well as time lapse videos. Anything available through the Wyze app Album is stored directly into your phone's Gallery. Without access to your phone's storage, your Wyze app won't have anywhere to save those files and you won't be able to use those features.

Thanks! Do you mind answering these final questions: Who owns the cloud? When I downloaded your app, it wants access to my photos, media, and other files. Can you elaborate on that? (Side note) I am not asking to seem as if I'm "insecure" about your cameras; I'm just a little bit nervous as it's my first time owning security cameras. I chose you guys for purchasing for my first security cameras! :)

We do not have access to the live stream. The people that have access to the cloud mostly use it for, "Did this video upload? Did it send a notification?" which doesn't require viewing the alert videos. On a rare occasion someone will ask about us looking at something but we prefer for them to send us a copy of the video. We'd rather leave the privacy control up to our customers. :)

fyi also important you use a class 10 card sd card. sadly one last thing to keep in mind, good fakes. scammers having gotten quite good lately. example a 32gb supposedly name brand card. description on major sales site says 32gb class 10. you see many 5 star reviews saying it's great. you order it. you put it into your pc, it shows indeed 32gb. BUT do not stop there, attempt to transfer a large file or files that in total approach that 32gb. if all goes well you're good BUT if it doesn't work you know that card hardware has been spoofed so to speak to make it appear to be a genuine 32gb card when in fact it is one of the new type of fakes on the market. i have seen some with under a one gig of actual memory. point being just because the card is advertised to specs test it out. bonus if already testing that card in a pc you can easily do a quick fat32 format so the card will be good to go for your wyze cam.

I'm sorry that I missed this notification before! This is a very late answer but we recommend 32GB microSD cards.
